I was very pleased with Theresa Huang Make-up & Hair Design, they were very responsive, always answering my emails in a timely manner and providing updated contract copies/invoices. The bridal preview session was helpful as well- we decided on a hairstyle and what makeup would work best with my skin type (we decided to do airbrushing because my skin was too dry and flaky using regular foundation). Christy did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for my wedding day, I received many compliments from family and friends!

With ever changing plans that are inevitable with wedding planning, Theresa and her team were always flexible and able to accommodate. They were also always on time, very professional and great to work with. We appreciate that she was willing to tweak things or do them over until we were happy with the outcome. Thanks for helping the whole bridal party look smashing on the big day!

Theresa styled me for a photoshoot this past weekend. Hair and make up were stunning. Theresa listened to my taste and opinion and created a look that was really awesome. The make up was natural and did not feel heavy on my face. The hair was stylish and elegant. I received great compliments from walking tourists during the photoshoot. Thank you Theresa :)

Since I live on the East Coast, I was referred to Theresa from friends who have used her services for their weddings in the past. My fiance and I were having our engagement photoshoot done in Long Beach (where we had our first date) so I decided to find a stylist in the area. Service was amazing, starting from Caroline who takes care of the communication with clients. I heard back from her immediately after my inquiry and received follow-up emails in a very timely fashion. On the morning of my photoshoot, given neither my fiance and I were from the area, we got a little lost going to the appointment. Theresa was very flexible and accommodating. When I finally found my way into her studio, we sat down to chat about what hairstyle I wanted and I showed her 2 pictures. She gave me an opinion of what she thought would look better (hey, she's the expert) so I went with it. Over the course of the next 3 hours, I felt like I was becoming a movie star! Theresa's technique is very interesting in that she doesn't have a step-by-step process. She works on 1 part and moves on to the next, then comes back based on her gut feeling...like a true artist! And she isn't afraid of trial and error to reach her end vision. I would say the majority of the time was focused on my makeup to enhance my natural features and she probably spent less than 45 minutes on my hair. However, her skill with hair was absolutely amazing. She's so fast and accurate that my hair looked like she spent hours on it! It looked a little different from the picture, but I felt even better as she knew what I was trying to achieve with my slight retro twist during our photoshoot. We also had a lot of fun chatting while she was working. Since we both have family back in Taiwan, we were talking about food (obviously!) and places to visit. The vibe in her studio is so relaxed and elegant, I really felt pampered with jazzy lounge music playing in the background. Sadly, my wedding in August is in Northern CA or else I would've loved for Theresa to do my hair and makeup all over again! So now I'm in search of someone who is just as talented as her (which is like finding a needle in a haystack!). Highly recommend Theresa to anyone who's looking for someone in the LA area. If anyone has recommendations for a stylist up north, please let me know too!!! =)

The makeup/hair stylist team on the wedding day was great! They were prompt, organized, efficient, and friendly. All the bridesmaids were happy with their hair styles and makeup and I was extremely pleased with my hair and makeup. It was flawless and I felt beautiful. We also had a busy schedule but the team was able to get everyone done on time! I would definently use this service again. All my questions were answered promptly during the planning process and everyone was so patient and helpful before, during, and after the event! A fantastic job!!

I am extremely partial.... Theresa is and always will be the best Makeup and Hair artist EVER!!! She brought a crew of awesome artists for my special day, and boy... did she make me feel special!!! Her whole team made coordination so easy, they are so professional, on-time, and meticulous with what they do!! She spent the whole time "dolling" me up and the rest of the party looked fabulous! Even the Moms enjoyed every minute and they looked radiant!!! No one else could compare!!! She was also my sister's wedding makeup and hair artist (3 years ago) and never less to say... she's got a family of clients forever! Oh... by the way, I have never seen a "the day of" makeup planner so detailed and well put together!

Theresa and her team were wonderful!!!! Theresa did my makeup exactly how I wanted! I got so many compliments from people on my wedding day. I don't normally wear alot of makeup and my wedding makeup was so natural and looked awesome!!!! She was so accommodating as I added more family at the last minute to get hair and makeup done too! I will definitely go back to Theresa and her team!!!!!

Manning is the best hairstylist that I have ever had! She is very professional, very talented and is a lot of fun to work with. All the styles that she created for my wedding entourage was absolutely beautiful! She also did a great job with my hair. She did a beautiful romantic hairstyle and I wanted it to be secure since it was going to be a long day. It lasted all day and I didn't even need to use the touch up kit. If I ever need my hair done again, she is the first one that I would contact. Also, Theresa's company is absolutely wonderful. They are all professional and also a joy to work with. Theresa and her team did an amazing job for my mother, bridal party, and of course myself! I loved how my makeup looked and loved even more how it looked in pictures and video. And my hair was awesome! Theresa and her team were on time and really knew how to make me look extra special without piling the makeup on thick. It was very natural which is exactly what I was looking for. Oh, and a few weeks prior to the wedding, when I had my preview session, I went out to dinner with my sister after and random strangers kept complimenting me on my hair and makeup!

Don't let the pricing of Theresa's services scare you. She is priced higher than the other make up artists in the area but she is definitely worth the price! My preview session went extremely well. I was provided 3 different hair styles to choose from and Theresa was very helpful in helping me decide what looked best on me. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease about looking my best for the single most important day of my life thus far. I have had hair and make up done by another make up team for a friend's wedding back in April and all I'm going to say is you get what you pay for. I think the extra money you have to shell out for Theresa and her team is 'insurance' for looking your absolute best in person AND on you wedding pictures. My hair and make up was great during the preview, but how she took care of me on the day of my wedding was beyond perfection. Her work is not overly done up and has a very natural feel, she has the talent to make you more beautiful than you think you can be and still look like yourself! I got sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo many compliments on my hair and make up on my big day and not to sound full of myself, I thought I looked freaking HOT as a bride. I only had her do my look first thing in the morning and everything still looked pretty much the same at the end of the night. The make up was so pretty that I didn't want to remove it! Theresa and her team was very professional and attentive to our needs and likes. They provided me with the beauty schedule about a week prior to the wedding for review and approval. The team showed up ON TIME, if not a little earlier. They made sure everyone was satisfy with the way they look before they sent us off to the venue. We were right on schedule for our event and everyone was happy. Most importantly we all looked pretty awesome! I would definitely recommend Theresa and her team to all my friends and anyone who is looking and considering The TH team! I had Manning do hair and make-up for me and my MOH. I am so happy with how it all turned out. Our hair and make-up lasted all night, even with all the hugs and kisses that we received. I was sure someone would accidentally knock down my side bun while hugging but it stayed put! Manning is so cheerful and positive. I was a nervous wreck before she showed up to my hotel room. Her great attitude and make-up magic helped me feel so much better. She is the sweetest person and totally talented. It can be awkward to have someone sitting so close to your face, working on your make-up for so long but not with Manning. She made me feel at ease and very comfortable. If I won the lottery, I would pay to have her do my make-up and hair every day!

Theresa changed the way I do makeup. I first met Theresa 8 months ago when I was searching for the perfect makeup artist for my intimate courtyard wedding in Santa Barbara. She came highly recommended by a friend who got married 2 years ago at the St. Regis. We hit it off right away and after the trial session, I knew she was the one for me. Her work is very elegant and timeless, which is exactly what I wanted. I did a photo shoot after my trial session and everything came out beautiful. It was just lovely. I fell in love with her work that I decided to take private makeup lessons. After all, a woman needs to look great not just on her wedding day, but also everyday, right? My now-husband compliments on my makeup every time I wear it. It looks natural and makes my eyes pop. I love it. On the big day, Theresa was amazing and my hair & makeup was flawless. My husband's jaw dropped when he first saw me. That truly was a priceless moment. Throughout the whole night, everyone kept telling me how beautiful I looked, including some of my overly-critical relatives (you know the type). The makeup lasted all day (12 hours) and despite a few teary moments, it did not run or smear one bit. All in all, Theresa is a talented artist who goes above and beyond for her brides and I will definitely recommend her to all my friends. Theresa was by far one of the best vendors I worked with. She was professional, talented and made me feel like I was safe in her capable hands. She has an amazing personality and brings it in to every session. I could not have been happier with her techniques and her ability to make me glow. Theresa was great! She was hired as my engagement photo makeup artist and the photos were turned out so beautiful, then I decided to hire her for my big day. She understands my expectations and has a great taste of the fashion. On my wedding day, she and her assistant arrived on time and did a great job. With that said, you must consider Theresa Huang and her carefully trained hair and makeup stylists for the big day. I booked a preview session with her lead artist, Manning - she listened to and acted on all my concerns and preferences, and made great suggestions to suit my bridal gown perfectly. We decided on a specific look during the preview session, which she implemented flawlessly on the day of. She and another artist, Nicole, were also hired to do my bridesmaids' and mom's hair and makeup on the wedding day, and both of them were very professional and fun to work with at the same time. They did a great job as my bridesmaids were very happy as well. Theresa's style is natural beauty - she and her stylists will beautify and enhance your natural features, and give you that dewy glowing look that every bride should have!

Theresa's team did an amazing job providng makeup and hair services for me, my bridal party, mom, and mother-in-law. I did a preview session with Monica a few months before my wedding. She was great to work with! She was very understanding and listened to what I want and the style I was looking for. She also provided helpful suggestions on my hair style that best fit my dress and wedding style. On the day of, Monica and the rest of the makeup team was on time and organized. They went right to work and stayed on schedule with the day of timeline. Theresa's makeup/hair team did a great job on my bridesmaids hairdos. Their hairstyle was a great fit to the overall bridal attire and accessories. Monica did a fabulous job on my makeup and hair. It was exactly the look I wanted and it was very similar to my look at the preview session. I truly felt like a beautiful bride. I definitely recommend Theresa Huang's makeup and hair design to all...

Theresa and her team are awesome! A week before the wedding, she sent me a timeline of the day so I knew exactly what to expect. She and her team arrived on time the day-of and went to work straightaway. My bridesmaids and I had such a fun time getting our hair and make-up done; her team was extremely professional, but also incredibly friendly and fun to hang out with. The team and my bridesmaids were all cracking jokes and having a great time. I loved how my hair and make-up turned out. Theresa gave me a touch-up kit and told my maid of honor how to reapply my blush/lip gloss if necessary, but I didn't need it at all! The make-up stayed on for the entire afternoon and evening (and that's through typical August SoCal weather, so that's saying a lot!). Theresa was one of my favorite vendors to work with during my wedding. I couldn't recommend her more.
