Alan was great! couldnt be happier as he was very flexible with us throughout the wedding even with last minute add ons. We are so glad we didnt go to the court house as we would have missed out on this great opportunity!

Alan was amazing, he made everyone laugh and cry at the same time. He also didn't read out of a book and we were really impress how he memorized what to say all while keeping good eye contact with our guest.

I have known Alan for EVER...he is an amazing man & did an amazing job at my wedding. My husband and I were so pleased, so many people commented on how much they LOVED our ceremony & our officiant. What can I say about Alan. Alan is the MAN!!!... The two things I heard the most from my guest was how cute the ring bearer was and how Amazing Alan was. The ceremony was wonderful. Made not only my Husband and I relaxed and comfortable but also my guest!!!... Was not stuffy or distant... I loved this guy from the first meeting we had with him and knew he was the only one I would want to marry us.

I could not have asked for more. Alan's professionalism and humor were unparalleled. He went above and beyond to make our special day as perfect as it could have been. First of all he had all of the legalities already taken care of for us and made that whole aspect of it simple and worry free. The ceremony was also more than i could have asked for. Alan Katz was the officiant for our wedding ceremony on October 24, 2009 at Ponte Winery in Temecula. He really helped set the tone for our low-key, fun-filled wedding!!! His ceremony took my husband, myself and our guests on an emotional roller coaster - there was laughing, cheering, crying, and more laughing. We had the time of our lives on our big day, and have Alan to thank for that. Many of our guests informed us that it was the most fun they had ever had during a wedding ceremony. He really understood who we are as a couple and what our expectations where for our day. He took charge and kept our wedding party on track during the rehearsal and kept us cool and collected during the ceremony. We actually decided to use Alan, because my husband witnessed one of his previous ceremonies and got his business card. I would refer him to anyone who is planning a wedding because he really makes it worthwhile and memorable. Alan Katz just performed my wedding in July, I was completely nervous and he worked with me to make sure that I was as calm as possible. My decorators mixed my sand together for the sand ceremony and Alan got me more and saved the day! All of my guest commented on how impressed they were with Alan and my ceremony!! I have several friends planning a wedding right now and I have sent them all to Alan!

I am in LOVE with So Cal Officiant. I originally booked Alan and he TOTALLY 'got' us. They have the option to do a comedic (non-denominational) ceremony which is exactly what we wanted. A couple weeks before the wedding, Alan had to go out of the country but he gave us his top guy David. David was absolutely amazing! He put us at ease with pre-wedding stress, he was able to pick up everything Alan left for him and he had our family and friends in stitches -- they loved him! I HAVE recommended them to friends and will again and again

Our ceremony is still being talked about in glowing terms! I like to think it is partially due to my new husband and myself, but Alan Katz our officiant (and owner of So Call Officiant) deserves most of the credit. We had no problem setting an in-person appointment with him at his office in Long Beach and immediately we felt like he was an old friend. He also took care of the marriage license, so all we had to do was sign on the dotted line. His personality and style may not be for everyone, but if you are looking for someone who is a genuine nice person, loves what he does and is funny enough to be on SNL, then this is your officiant. He made everything so easy and relaxed that my husband and I were able to add our on “adlibs” during the ceremony. During the reception our guests made a point of telling us that it was one of the best ceremonies they had ever seen; loving, but fun like us!

Alan is great at what he does. He can improve when the situation calls for it and is very respectful to the couples' wishes. My husband and I eloped and he was able to sing a song for me as I walked down 'the aisle'. He is wonderful and always available to talk.

My husband and I eloped to Vegas in August of 09, and planned a formal ceremony for family and friends when we returned. We renewed our vows and had a reception at The Vineyards in Simi Valley February 20th 2010. Alan was the officiant and he did a great job! We wanted a ceremony that was fun and lighthearted, just like our romance had been and continues to be. The mood of the ceremony he performed was perfect and the guests kept telling me how much they enjoyed it! It was totally stress-free! As long as you tell them exactly what you're looking for you will not be disappointed!

MY WEDDING DAY WAS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, THANKS TO ALAN KATZ!! WE HAD HIM MARRY US AS ELVIS, AND I COULDN'T OF BEEN HAPPIER, HE WAS AMAZING!! SOOO FUNNY, YET VERY PROFESSIONAL, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM, IT WAS A LITTLE PRICEY, (HE WAS ALREADY BOOKED THE SAME DAY, BUT WAS ABLE TO WORK IT OUT FOR US, AND WE'RE NOT QUITE LOCAL)BUT IT WAS STILL WORTH EVERY PENNY, WE SUPRISED EVERYONE, NOBODY KNEW WE WERE GETTING MARRIED BY ELVIS, HE DID SUCH AN AMAZING JOB PEOPLE ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT HOW IT WAS THE BEST WEDDING THEY'VE EVER BEEN TO! THANK YOU ALAN, YOU WERE FANTASTIC!!!

Alan was really good! All my guests said that he had the crowd going from the get go. I was late so my guests didn't feel bored out of their minds for a half hour.

My husband is always making me laugh. We believe that marriage should be fun and wanted to incorporate fun and laughter into our wedding ceremony. Alan helped us do just that. I was a bit concerned that when we went to get married on paper at his Long Beach office/chapel that he didn't have our actual ceremony date on his calendar!!! But luckily we confirmed everything then. Overall, he helped us create a fun and memorable wedding ceremony.

He was really nice. I think I was just a little distracted because about a month before our wedding, I happened to catch him on an episode of Blind Date. It was a little strange.
