My new husband and I just adore Uyen. He and I agree 100% that hiring Uyen was the best decision we made during the whole wedding planning process. My husband and I were planning a Los Angeles wedding from Seoul, Korea and we needed some help. I went through projectwedding.com reviews and emailed a few planners. Uyen was the only one that was SUPER responsive and friendly. I had a million questions for her because I was unable to meet her in person and she responded to all of my emails asap. After we signed the contracts we spent about a full year planning our wedding. Uyen became my hands, eyes, and ears. She took care of EVERYTHING for us. Not once during my planning from abroad did I regret my decision to go with Uyen. She became more than a planner to me. I don't know how you won't be able to become quick friends with her. She is just the sweetest. Anyway, our wedding day came and passed and we had a ball. We have only wonderful memories of our day. I know as a matter of fact that I couldn't have had my dream wedding without her.

As I read through the other reviews, I keep thinking what other special things I could say about Uyen. Other people describes her pretty well, but I am from different country and there are only few words that I know.But I do know I chose the right person when I heard my mother who doesn't speak English somehow communicating with Uyen at my wedding. My mother and my entire family directly from Japan absolutely loved her!Above all the professionalism, you can really tell that she does it from her heart. We became good friends after my wedding. She is just a kind of person you don't want to miss out in your life. Believe me, she will make your most special day even better:)

We worked with Uyen for our wedding this past month and chose the "week-of" coordination package. From the moment we met Uyen, we knew that she was going to make the wedding great! She was so friendly, organized, helpful, resourceful and full of great ideas. Even though we only had the week-of package, we were able to email her with questions right away and ask for vendor references. Because of Uyen, we were able to assemble a great team of vendors on our wedding day - we loved each and every one of them! In terms of the wedding day itself, Uyen executed everything flawlessly. If something went wrong, I didn't hear about it. We really appreciated how she was able to oversee everything so efficiently while still being pleasant and friendly to everyone. Uyen made our wedding day go by without a hitch. We trusted her with all the details (and all the big things too) and everything looked great! We would definitely recommend Uyen! My now husband and I hired Uyen as our full wedding planner for our July 2010 wedding. After our initial meeting, I knew that Uyen would be perfect for us. She’s creative, sweet, and extremely organized. My husband and I both agree that hiring Uyen was one of the best decisions we made. From choosing the venue to helping us figure out the centerpieces, she made wedding planning so much fun. Throughout the wedding planning process, we exchanged hundreds of emails/texts and had many vendor meetings. She was always patient and very responsive. I bounced a bunch of ideas off of her and she always tried to help our vision come to life. She also made excellent vendor recommendations and coordinated all of our meetings.The couple of weeks leading up to our wedding was extremely hectic as we had quite a few problems with our venue, but Uyen took care of everything. She was so thoughtful and tried to shield us from all the issues so that it wouldn’t stress us out. On the day of the wedding, she was a savior. She was so prepared and planned every detail. My husband and I were able to enjoy our special day without a worry. We cannot thank Uyen enough for all she’s done for us. She is a total professional and in a class of her own. Uyen was amazing in helping me out with our wedding. I (the bride) am currently in graduate school. I have a busy exam schedule and realized fairly early on in my planning that we were going to need help... and a lot of it. Anytime the stress of school was too much she was always on top of the wedding planning helping me make decisions much easier. She is experienced, level headed, and amazing at her job. Her vendor list was fantastic and my husband and I could truly have not wished for a better wedding, especially at the graduate school student loan budget we were working with. She helped us get everything we dreamed of and more for our special day, all the while working away quietly like a ninja in the background. We are so glad we hired her for our wedding, and would do it again in a heartbeat if we weren't already married! I cannot emphasize enough how phenomenal she is.Thanks for everything Uyen!

I love love love Uyen Nguyen of Sassy Girl Weddings and Events! We hired her as our "week of coordinator" 6 months before our wedding and she was so great to work with. Every email I sent her was promptly answered, she provided me with great referrals and awesome vendors. She also helped me stay relatively within my budget which was hard to do :)The week of the wedding I was feeling the pressure and Uyen was there to help me communicate with the vendors and get organized for the big day. Our friends and family were so impressed by her and was raving about her even after the wedding.I can't say enough about Uyen. You can tell she loves what she does and it reflects in her work. We've even become friends after the wedding.

Sassy girl team is awesome very creative and resourceful they made the night wounderful and decorated beautiful.

We wanted to book Uyen immediately after meeting with her in person. She spent 5 months as our wedding planner and we couldn't be happier. Uyen is extremely organized, detailed, and prompt to respond to our questions. She worked so hard to negotiate with all the vendors. In the end, we stayed within budget but our wedding looks like we had no budget.Our guests really enjoyed themselves and raved on about the outstanding food and decor. And the best part was, we enjoyed our day as calm and stress-free as can be. We appreciate that Uyen treated us more like good friends than as clients. Uyen is the best event/wedding planner in my opinion and it was such a pleasure working with her.

Even though we didn't end up using Uyen's services due to the fact that we didn't end up having a wedding planner, Uyen offered some vendor suggestions in an email that were fantastic, specifically our photographer Adrienne Gunde. The fact that Uyen didn't have to suggest any vendors since we hadn't hired her and she still did speaks to her professionalism, quality of services, flexibility, and her desire for wanting brides to have the best wedding possible. Simply Amazing! We had Uyen for the Day-of and She did an amazing job! Trust me, our wedding was no joke! And she handled it with simplicity and elegance the entire time! And not to mention that she is down to earth and just a fun and easy person to talk to and figure things out with. We could not have been happier with her and would do it all over again! The best advice I have ever gotten from other friends and family who recently got married: ask someone else to run your wedding. My husband and I had done everything from booking the reception venue, ceremony, linens, chairs, cake, colors, etc. We asked Uyen to help us on the day of just because I wasn't sure who to put as the contact person when all the rentals were being delivered and that really stressed me out. She didn't just help us on the day of, she helped us for the entire week before the wedding. I know there are other planners out there that only offer "day of" services, but how much can he/she do just in 1 day? I have discovered that the week before the wedding was the most stressful time during the entire planning process. Why? Because you'll be too busy finalizing the guest counts, seating arrangements, programs, place cards, etc. I still can't believe how much Uyen had helped us. While we were going crazy with all guest related issues, she had confirmed all our vendors, set up a time line of when each one of them were to arrive, and when things were to be done by. She was also able to assist us with the seating arrangements and forward all the information the hotel required 3 days before the wedding. On the day off, she was the first one at the church to line us up and hand out our programs. The limo company was late and Uyen was able to get us a refund from them. She also set up the reception area just as how we pictured it (actually even better than we pictured it). I screwed up on the number of corsages I had ordered from the florist and Uyen was able to work with the florist to get that issue resolved. I was not stressed out at all on my wedding day thanks to Uyen! She really took her time to get to know me and my husband and how we envisioned our wedding to be. What I loved the most about Uyen was how fast she responds back to you. I'm the kind of person needs instant gratification. I would email Uyen and couple of minutes later, I'd have a response - even if it was at midnight! I highly highly highly recommend Uyen from Sassy Girl Weddings & Events.

After meeting Uyen for the first time last December, my fiance and I knew we had found our wedding coordinator. We were looking for someone who was organized, prepared, and responsive. Uyen has all those wonderful qualities and more. Even though we only hired Uyen to help us the week of the wedding, she helped us through the entire planning process from start to finish. We probably sent Uyen hundreds of emails and text messages over a 10-month period, and she always responded to each and every one of them within a few hours (sometimes within minutes). You can always count on Uyen to be there when you need help or advice. We had a very small wedding (50 guests) a few weeks ago at Mastro's Steakhouse in Costa Mesa. Uyen took care of everything that day. I was surprisingly calm and relaxed all day. We wanted to have an intimate wedding with our closest family and friends, and with Uyen's help we were able to accomplish that. She was simply amazing! Thank you, Uyen!

Uyen is an exceptional wedding planner with an eye for sophisticated and modern wedding details that will undoubtedly exceed your expectations. Our wedding was in July of 2009. Our event is still the talk of town amongst our friends and family. The day of the wedding Uyen's recommended vendors were timely, and most importantly, showed up with quality beyond our expectations. I hired Uyen for coordination services from start to finish and I have to say that she was awesome! She's so great to work with and really catered to our needs. She worked very hard to keep things within our budget, but the day of the wedding, everything looked like we had no budget!! She helped make our wedding day even better than either one of us imagined. Uyen is very detail-oriented and organized, which made the wedding planning process as stress-free as it could be.

First, please let me begin by giving my zealous, unequivocal recommendation of Sassy Girl Weddings and Events! Hiring Sassy Girl Weddings and Events was the absolute best money we spent on our wedding! We hired Sassy Girl Weddings and Events for full service wedding planning, design, and coordination in July of 2009. We spent a few weeks negotiating the terms of service with Uyen Nguyen (owner and designer of Sassy Girl Weddings and Events). Uyen was an amazing listener, always incorporating the items important to us. We felt secure in Uyen’s capable hands. In the months leading up to our wedding on May 24, 2009, Uyen was truly a blessing in our lives. As my husband and I were planning a multi-cultural, So. Cal wedding from No. Cal, Uyen was our eyes and ears – making excellent vendor recommendations, doing preliminary screening and vendor visits, and ensuring that all contracts were in good form (with appropriate price negotiation) before even presenting the contract to my husband and myself.Uyen ensured that all of our wedding desires (both specific wishes and ‘conceptual’ wishes) were incorporated flawlessly into our wedding. She was able to execute all of these details perfectly as a result of (a) her ability to listen and ask necessary questions, (b) her amazingly prompt response time to inquiries (including late night e-mail musings about the ‘splash of red’ to be incorporated into the black and white theme and the Armenian text to be added to the wedding invitations and stationary), (c) her utter professionalism and great relationships (and mutual respect) with her suggested vendors, (d) her unending patience (but also no B.S. attitude), (e) her willingness to go that extra mile for her clients, (f) her easy-going, humorous, positive, and upbeat personality, (g) her keen eye for detail and amazing organizational capabilities, (h) her natural leader instincts, (i) her amazing capabilities and aptitude as a designer, and (j) her savvy business skills and intelligence. I will openly admit that I can be a difficult person to work with at times and never once did Uyen respond to me in a negative manner. Uyen was truly grace under fire for the rehearsal and day-of coordination. Many people came to me after the wedding and spoke to me about how wonderful she was in ensuring the proper flow of everything. Also, family and friends commented on her cool composure and ability to deal with a few ‘sticky’ situations in a professional, appropriate manner. Interestingly, neither myself (as the bride) nor my husband knew any of these behind-the-scenes “issues” were occurring until after the fact, as Uyen took great care to not burden or stress us (or allow anyone else – friend, family, or vendor to do so)! Sassy Girl Weddings and Events made all aspects of our wedding truly unique, memorable, and flawless – from the rehearsal dinner to the post-wedding clean-up….everything went off even better and more amazingly than my husband and I had ever dreamed possible. Thanks to Sassy Girl Weddings and Events we truly had an amazing, unique, memorable, fairytale wedding! In fact, one recently engaged woman at our wedding said that nobody who had attended our wedding would be allowed to come to her wedding as nobody’s wedding could never possibly live up to what Uyen had put together!Thanks Uyen!!!

We are both organized but we knew that we needed someone to help with the wedding. After speaking to three different vendors we realized there was way more detail then we thought and we needed more help. Due to our tight budget we hired Uyen for only a week of service. However, she went beyond that by helping us along the way, reviewing our contracts, recommending vendors and making sure we were on schedule. The day of our wedding was smooth and easy. Everyone commented on what a calm bride I was, but in reality, it was because we had Uyen on our side and we didnÂ’t have to worry about anything. There wasnÂ’t any point in the day we had to ask about anything, we just went with it. Our friends were so impressed by her work and her utility belt; they started referring to her as the Wedding Woman.

I adore Uyen! At first, everyone thought I was spending unnecessary $ hiring a wedding coordinator. However, after the success I had at my wedding, everyone ate their words! Uyen is such a great person to have as an event coordinator. We could not have done this with out her. We booked Uyen one year before our wedding (which helped so much). Uyen was fabulous day of coordinator. Hiring her as my coordinator was probably one of the best decisions I made in wedding planning. Uyen is extremely detail oriented, organized, and hard working. She was also very prompt in her responses in answering the many questions I had leading up to the day. She took care of all the big and little things that came up on the wedding day which left me stress free and able to enjoy my wedding day to the max!
