Rancho Sol del Pacifico

Rancho Sol Del Pacifico is absolutely stunning! I had my ceremony and reception at this venue. The drive is a bit long and scary for some, as you have to ascend 3 miles on a very narrow and windy road, but I promise it is worth it! You can't take a bad photo at this venue. It's breathtaking from every angle. We had our ceremony next to the pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the view and the venue were. Since our guest count was quite large (300 ppl) we had to have our reception in the tennis court. It sounds tacky, but it's the nicest tennis court I've seen. They covered the floor with a nice carpet, guests have a view of the Malibu canyons, it's open air, it's already equipped with amber mood lighting, and you can have a backdrop of the amphitheatre and columns for your head table. He has several areas where you can have your ceremony and reception though. The cost to rent this venue is quite expensive, but I think it's worth every penny. If you're looking for a unique outdoor venue, this is the place. To balance costs, you're allowed to use any licensed/insured caterers/bartenders and they let you BYOB! This saves tons of money on open bar! He also let us bring in our dogs for the ceremony, which was important to us. Al Rotter, the owner of the house, is great to work with. He takes a lot of pride in the events that take place on his property and is very accommodating to special requests. Just make sure you let him know exactly what your plans are, so you don't get any unexpected charges. Ex. There's an extra charge for using his outdoor kitchen or carpet for the tennis court.
