I am soo happy to have found Monique Powers for my wedding hair and make-up. I was a very beautiful bride thanks to her. She asked before the wedding what kind of look I wanted and then created just that on me. She is a nice, soft person to be around on your hectic wedding day too. The air-brush make-up and the hair she did lasted whole day despite the foggy, misty outdoor wedding. I would definitely recommend.

To this day one of the top things people remembered about my wedding was how beautiful I looked. Thanks to Monique I looked natural, flawless, and like ME. My biggest worry choosing a makeup artist was that they would make me look like someone I’m not. Monique listens to all your concerns and needs and delivers. She was early for appointment and got set up without any interruptions. She has a calmness about her and she makes you feel comfortable during the transformation. A true professional. Having the same energy made me feel good about everything that was happening that morning. We even made some changes with my hair from the initial consultation. I actually think I looked even more amazing from my first visit with Monique. Monique also did my Mom’s makeup and hair. She made my Mom feel special and called her “Mom”. I think she was tickled by that and made her feel at ease. I know I will use Monique for special occasions in the future. I’m the kind a girl that loves simplicity and natural beauty. I don’t wear a lot of makeup but knew I had to step it up for my wedding. Once Monique does her magic there’s no turning back. I wish I could look like this every day. I felt like a Rockstar! I know planning a wedding is stressful but if you make good choices you will have a stress free day. Choosing Monique was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Proof is in the pictures. A couple of disclaimers before I begin this review: 1. I don’t know anything about make-up 2. My wife and I live in NYC, we got married in Miami, and Monique is obviously located in Los Angeles. So when my wife decided that 6 months before our wedding that she was going to fly out Monique to Miami for our wedding AND cover her hotel stay so that she could do her make-up the day of the wedding, I not only thought it was fiscally irresponsible, but ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!! Now I’ve met Monique before and she is a super sweet person, and from what I’ve been told by not only my wife, but also several of her friends, is that Monique is supremely talented at what she does. They’ve gone so far as to even tell me that she truly can make ordinary folks look and feel as if they just stepped right out of the silver screen. So when my wife explained to me that the opportunity cost of the time, expense and effort for her to test out other make-up artists in the Miami area that she would feel comfortable with, would pretty much equal the cost of everything explained in the previous paragraph, I consented and thought to myself “OK.” Fast forward to our wedding day, my wife and I had planned for a “First Look” prior to all of the ceremony events. I had my back turned to everything and she came walking towards me, tapped me on my shoulder and turned me around. I was absolutely blown away by how amazing, stunning, breathtaking and incredibly gorgeous my wife looked. Monique not only did her make-up but also her hair. Monique managed to capture eye-popping, radiant beauty and still able to keep it natural without being overdone. Simply flawless!! Ironically, now the cost and effort suddenly makes sense! I look at other wedding pics/videos of some folks out there and am able to see the difference between the superstar work and artistry that Monique does and everybody else. I highly recommend Monique Powers!

Monique is the best makeup and hair artist that I have ever come across and I would not trust anyone else to do my hair and makeup for a special occasion. I am originally from Los Angeles and have been going to Monique for years. I I have had my makeup done professionally by many others, but after Monique I could never go to anyone else. She is precise and detail oriented and takes your makeup to the next level. I have never felt more beautiful than when I leave Monique's studio. Hence, my dilemma when I moved to NYC a couple of years ago and decided to get married in Miami Beach. After months of considering other makeup artists, I knew that none of them were as good as Monique. Monique is such a rare talent, and I am so picky when it comes to exceptional quality, that I knew I had no choice but to fly her out to my wedding just so that I could have the honor of having her do my makeup and hair. She was worth every penny and I would do it over again in a heartbreat!. I could not have been happier with Monique's artistry on my wedding day. She outdid herself and went above and beyond what I could have hoped for! I looked flawless. Monique has a gift for making you look like your best self--polished, gorgeous, glamorous, and yet very natural and real. She did my makeup early in the day and it looked just as amazing after midnight. She is one of a kind and I am happy for any bride that can get Monique for their wedding day (she gets booked fast so you have to make sure you call her right away). Monique also did my hair. You may not know this based on her website, but Monique is spectacular at styling hair as well. If I were a celebrity and could afford her, I would have her do my hair and makeup every morning. Even though I live in NYC, I still won't touch my eyebrows until I go to LA and can visit Monique. Monique furfilled my wedding party and my expectations. The makeup lasted all day. She left everyone's makeup as requested. She was very professional and on time the day of my wedding!! Which was very important for me. Everyone complemented on our hair and makeup. I was extremely pleased with her work!!!! She also went out of her way to help one of my bridemaids with some back acne in which she did not have to. When I look back at my wedding photos I love the way I looked, so beautiful and natural.

Monique is a true GEM! I am so thankful I found her. My makeup looked amazing not only on my wedding day BUT kept until the next day also. I received compliments all night and the ladies couldn't believe I was wearing the same makeup the next day. Monique is professional, kind and on time. Monique was amazing! She was on time, professional and friendly. She brought a member of her team to do my hair while she herself did my makeup. Both turned out better than I could have hoped for!

Monique is the BEST! She was early, had everything setup quickly and efficiently. For my wedding, she had two assistants who helped since I had a total of 10 people, including myself to get made up and looking great. While her assistants were good, anyone that Monique worked on herself looked WONDERFUL - she really is an artist in every single way. Her prices are reasonable and she is so sweet and easy to work with. There were no hidden fees or anything unexpected. My makeup stayed on all day and night and looked just at the end of the night as it did when she first applied it (and I'm very oily, so that was hard to do). I would HIGHLY recommend her and her services to anyone looking for make-up work to be done for anything.

First of all, this woman is gorgeous! So she shows up and you say " can you make my face look like yours! :-) I was very exciting when I saw what a beautiful job she had done on her own face and I wanted pure glamour and beauty for my wedding day too. Monique spent a lot of time on our test run, making sure I got exactly the look wanted and i didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. Her knowledge of makeup is extensive and she has everything you could need in her box of tools! Plus some extras! :-) On the day she arrived nice and early and made me look and feel beautiful. My wedding guests commented on my face all day. I especially love the shades she put on my eyes. Made them pop. She was super easy to talk to and I felt like I had know her for years. She's a little pricey, but she's worth it. Monique did a great job with me, and her assitants did an amazing job with all the girls. We only had one person who didn't like her hair, but over all it was still good. The only thing I thought was a little bit ridiculous was charging the full 75 dollars to do a flower girls hair! she did manage to bring the price down to 50 because all the little girl was going to have was a few curls, but she did look very pretty, so even 50 was okay! I would definitely recommend Monique to all of my friends! She's great, very sweet and easy to talk to. Plus, if youre of a darker skin tone like I am, she totally gets skin-tone matching, and you wont end up with a powdery-white or purple face. Everyone said I looked Flawless! Thanks Monique!!!!!!!!!

Monique is a great balance of professional and personalized service. She was responsive to all of my needs, even providing services on a cruise ship at 5am! Highly recommended!

OMG, all my fellow San Diegans need to call Monique to have the their make-up done if you want to look flawless on your wedding day. My now hubby thought I was crazy for driving to LA to meet with Monique for my make-up trial...but when he saw me on the wedding day he understood why. I chose airbrush make-up and I was extremely happy with the results. I danced the entire night at my wedding and my make-up still looked good at the end of the night. Monique arrives with alll her equipment and ready to rock and roll. My bridesmaids and myself looked fabolous and have to thank Monique for that. We all have had make-up done when you don't look like yourself or it looks caked up. That was never an issue or problem with Monique. I highly recommend Monique for your professional make-up needs. She is very professional and showed up before her scheduled time the day of my wedding and was completely set up and ready to go the minute my hair was finished! I was married on Setpember 17th, and Monique did my make-up as well as my maid of honor and my mother's make-up. She did an amazing job, and was very easy to work with and professional. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a make-up artist. My make-up lasted all day, even through a few tears. Monique definitely has her own unique style. She is also very accommodating to those who are not used to wearing a ton of make-up. She is not cheap, but definitely well worth it.

I decided to contact Monique after watching her video on her website and seeing the before and after images of women from different ethnicities on her site as well. I just felt I got a really good look at her work and felt comfortable booking her. She was very professional, sweet, and very reliable. I requested a last minute time change and she was able to make it on time with a big smile, ready to work. I booked her for two days (2 day wedding) and provided her with examples of very different styles, one for each night. She nailed both looks! I was very impressed and received tons of compliments. I would book Monique again. She made me feel very comfortable and made sure I feel completely satisfied.
