I had the pleasure of working with Melissa and Elsa for my wedding on 11/20/11. When I first started planning my wedding, I had only gotten the venue, dress and photographer down. Next thing I did was book a wedding coordinator. My now husband and I interviewed a few others and found Elsa & Melissa of ME Events to stand out the most. These girls did not have an aggressive sales pitch, were organized with their portfolio & presentation, reasonably priced and most of all, seemed very nice, sweet and eager to be part of you wedding day. As for the wedding coordinator, a lot of people might see this as an extra cost to forgo because you are not receiving any tangible products from them. Big mistake. I am a pretty organized person myself. I can do most of the planning before the wedding, however, I cannot do everything myself on the day of the event. A lot of people would ask their bridesmaids or relatives to help out on their special day. However, they are not professionals at handling these kind events and if something goes wrong, can you really blame them since they are doing you a favor? If something goes wrong on the day of, I don't want to be the one to fix it or know about it. Your wedding should be a day for everyone to enjoy, not a day for people to slave. Do yourself and everyone a favor, hire these girls. Plus, they are fun to work with. After I booked these girls, they provided excellent recommendations on the vendors they preferred. At times anal, I checked the reviews on the vendors myself to see if they are reputable and reasonably priced and they were!! ME events was very conscious about the budgets of their clients. Who wants to spend extra when you don;t need to? I only got the day of coordination package but these girls went out of their way to forward great vendors for us to use. Finding vendors and interviewing them is a long and tedious process because you never know what you are going to get. Why not go off referrals? Along the way before the wedding, Elsa consistently checked up to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything while fulfilling her obligations as a wedding coordinator. With this level of communication, I knew everything was going to be okay. Enough said, the day for ME events to shine and prove themselves on the day of the wedding. The event went smoothly except we had to change the cocktail hour and ceremony indoors because it rained. Elsa successfully and effortlessly helped make this happen and kept everyone happy. Not to mention, Elsa & Melissa were extremely successfully in coordinating with all the vendors, eliminating headaches for the bride & groom, staying ahead of schedule and gauging the crowd to ensure the event is flowing smoothly without a dull moment. I cannot thank these girls enough and felt that they were the best money spent on the whole wedding. Thanks Melissa and Elsa.

Melissa & Elsa were absolutely amazing as our coordinators for our reception at Hyatt Huntington Beach. They were the only ones we met with and only ones we needed to meet with. They impressed us right away with a little hint to keep our reception costs down even before we booked them. At the beginning, we weren't even sure that we needed a coordinator, but once the planning started, we were so glad we decided on these girls. As they explained to us when we first spoke to them, and we found out first hand, they were not just the "day-of" coordinators that we were hiring them as. That could be proven by the probably 50+ emails I exchanged with Melissa even months before the wedding, and by the couple meetings we had as well. They made things so much easier on us and answered all of our questions. There were so many decisions that needed to be made, so many things you wouldn't think of, but they are prepared for all of it.Their attention to detail was especially apparent in their timeline that they plan for your event. From the limo company, the florist, the chair covers, the DJ, etc...they were in contact with all of our vendors leading up to the wedding, letting them know what they needed to do and what time they needed to do it. They didn't even stop helping when the wedding was over. We left for our honeymoon the next day, which was a Sunday, but we needed the cupcake stand returned to the bakery which is closed on Sundays and is way out of the way for any of our family. It needed to be returned within 5 days for us to get our $250 deposit back, and they took care of it for us. They really go above and beyond their duties. Melissa & Elsa were very organized, super easy to work with (even according to all our vendors), and very helpful throughout the process, even though we only hired them them for day-of services. They are great, and I would definitely recommend ME Events & Design to anybody!

Let me just start off by saying that you would be doing yourself, your spouse, your family and your guests a disservice by NOT hiring ME Events. As soon as we had our first meeting with Elsa from ME Events, we knew she was the planner for us. You could tell from the outset that she wanted this to be YOUR wedding, and not hers. My fiance and I did not get this sort of vibe from the other coordinators/planners we met. Elsa asked us lots of questions right from the outset, which was another big difference from the other coordinators. We felt the other vendors were trying too hard to sell themselves. After meeting with Elsa, we practically hired ME on the spot.We started planning our wedding close to a year in advance. Right from the outset, Elsa was very hands on. She is extremely organized, and reliable. I can remember many instances when she had emailed me some information and I could not recall it, or find that email. Within seconds, she sent me another copy of the previous email! Elsa's insight and advice were also invaluable. She had suggestions and ideas that we would never have thought of. All the while, she was always asking us what we wanted for our wedding. We really appreciated that. Now, to the most important aspect of wedding planning. The budget. We were fairly fortunate to work with a decent budget, but even so, Elsa was extremely cost conscious. She didn't just recommend all these expensive vendors. In fact, it was just the opposite. She still worked hard to try to save us the most money as humanly possible. I am pretty certain that her budgeting and negotiating skills actually paid for the cost of her services itself. In the end, we actually came in under budget! Sweet! Now we can afford The Westin for our honeymoon in Paris. =)The weekend of our wedding is when ME Events truly shined. Prior to this date, Elsa had provided us a very detailed schedule for us to follow and that made EVERYTHING go smoothly. I honestly thought I would be more nervous in the days leading up to our wedding day but I think because Elsa had prepped me so thoroughly, it was a breeze! After our ceremony, it was time for the reception and when we got our first peek of the set up, we were absolutely blown away. It was amazing, beautiful and breath taking. We received SO many compliments from friends and family, and the common theme was basically, "best wedding ever!". My new wife and I were truly humbled by these words, and I believe it would not have been nearly as nice had it not been for ME Events. Big thanks to Elsa and Melissa for all your help throughout the entire process. You can tell they both truly love what they do and work tirelessly to make your special day the most special day of your lives. We will always treasure our wedding day and are forever thankful for your their help!!! Thanks again ME Events!!

Our experience with Elsa (and Melissa) of ME Events and Design was so much more than what the rating scale can truly describe. Yes, we give Elsa and ME Events and Design a true perfect rating... let me explain:We may not have been the easiest couple to work with because I ask too many questions and need overly detailed explanations of everything. To top it off, my wife liked everything and had challenges making a final decision... on every aspect of our wedding. Luckily, Elsa responded to my million emails and calls (seriously... it might have approached this number over the course of the year), patiently worked with us with all the back-and-forth decision making, and helped us navigate the potentially treacherous path of planning our wedding.I'm a bullet point person so here they are:* definitely the best money spent at our wedding - the best value for the money spent (we actually thought that they do not charge enough for the amount of time and energy spent)* they have experience with a wide range of venues and vendors and can help your vendors visualize your dream* they can help you receive a discount at many of these venues and vendors - these savings essentially pay for their service fee (but you would pay it anyways after you realize what they do)* they definitely work with you and hold your hand throughout the process - definitely patient* they think of all the details that can easily be missed during the planning process and the details truly make the difference in pulling off a good wedding from executing an amazing wedding* regardless of what your budget is, they offer first class service - truly professionals in their field* they are very conscious of your budget and will always keep this in mind (unless you decide to go crazy and they will go crazy with you)* aside from being professionals, they truly love what they do... they might be just as excited about your wedding as you are (or at least my wife was) - hugely important in helping plan the wedding... no fake salesperson smiles with Elsa and Melissa* the most important point for me - there was absolutely no stress before the wedding or on the day of our wedding... zero stress because we knew that Elsa was managing all this stress for usWhile it was clearly important to have Elsa and Melissa coordinate the day of the big event, it was critical that they were involved from the beginning. I dislike that I micro-manage everything when I feel that no one else can do it better... in this case, I felt the joy of not having to manage anything but simply enjoy the wedding events. It truly was that easy.If we had to do it over again, there might be a few changes made but we would definitely turn to Elsa of ME Events and Design to manage everything all over again. Who knows, maybe we will use them if we decide to throw a party or decide to renew our vows in the future.Good luck and congratulations.

Elsa and Melissa did a fabulous job. They had everything prepared for my wedding day. I had a good sized wedding of about 230 guests. They were able to get everything organized with me as well as all my other vendors. They were in constant contact with me and all the plans. I had a lot of special requests for my special day and they were able to make it all happen. The big day went off without any problems and that was because Elsa and Melissa had everything under control. They were able to work within my budget, they have a great, easy to get along with personalities and were a pleasure to work with. Thank you Elsa and Melissa for making my special day nothing less of perfection!

I started working with Elsa from ME Events and Design about 8-9 months before my wedding. Before I signed up to work with Elsa, all I had done for my wedding was book the church and venue. I had no clue on where to start or what I wanted. I literally needed her advice/opinion and services from everything down to colors and flowers. The day after I booked Elsa, I immediately began receiving ideas, color palettes, and vendor suggestions. Elsa worked with each vendor to set up meetings, handle negotiations, amongst other behind the scenes magic that I probably don't even know about. I always felt that she had our best interest at heart. She worked hard to keep us within our budget, while suggesting the coolest latest and greatest trends. I'll be the first to admit that I was slow at getting started but Elsa kept me on track and before I knew it, I was crossing items off the list left and right. She responds quickly to emails and I always felt like something was being worked on for my wedding behind the scenes without my knowledge. When i got overwhelmed, Elsa was there to help with whatever I needed. When I had an idea, Elsa was there with suggestions for me to carry out the idea. Everything Elsa and I envisioned for close to 9 months came to life on our wedding day 2 weeks ago. I could not be more happy with ME Events. The day went off without a hitch and I was pretty much stress free. i showed up to each location with nothing to worry about, walked into venues that were perfectly setup, and didn't have to think about the logistics of the day. Everything went according to the timeline and we were even ahead of schedule and got to squeeze in an extra surprise for guests. Our wedding was absolutely amazing and beautiful thanks to their services. Elsa and Melissa were truly a delight to work with and I'm sad that the wedding is over. I've gained friendships thru working with these girls and will continue to keep in touch with them bc I got to know them not only from a professional level, but a personal level as well. My only regret is that I didn't hire them sooner because I was clueless for the first 6 months of my engagement. I would highly recommend wedding coordinating services, specifically ME Events for a variety of reasons but the most important reason is because I was a stress-free and happy bride. It was a pleasure to work with these gals and I can't imagine my wedding without them.

I hired Melissa and Elsa for my wedding on 2/19/11. I did most of the work myself and really only needed them for their "finishing touches" package, which provided "day of" services and a couple of planning meetings before hand. If I had to do it over again I would hire them for the entire planning process, beginning to end! These gals just did a phenominal job, I mean really. I was concerned over the fact that they were Asian and I was Latin. Only reason being because I was afraid they weren't going to be able to communicate with guests or understand the difference in our cultural wedding traditions. Although I myself am a bit more modern it was still important that the people helping me plan this understood what was important to me as far as traditions. Melissa was my go to girl and she never let me down. I was so pleased at the way the entire day went. They were punctual, always professional (which is HUGE for me), and truly, these gals were made for this business. They have the right temperment, knowledge and patience for brides and the stress of it all. They handled the several vendors we worked with without a single issue (including mariachis), they gave me great ideas, carried out my wishes exactly as I wanted them and really were just a dream to work with. They were thoughtful enough to save one of our beautiful manzanita centerpieces for us at the end of the night, the helping to set-up and shut down was quick and efficient, they always checked in with me to see how I was doing, they were encouraging and you can really tell every wedding is personal to them. They were the best find on wedding wire!!

My husband and I have high demanding jobs and that comes with stress stress and more stress PLUS planning a wedding?! Yikes....I honestly can't imagine our wedding without Melissa and Elsa. ME events are professional, flexible, organized and the sweetest people I've ever met. They help me plan the wedding from beginning to end.They were always on top of things and made sure I was sticking to my task and timeline. Trust me, that was a lot of work for Melissa and Elsa. They had great ideas, suggestions and recommendations. I was able to enjoy the fun part of planning my wedding and they did all the stressful part. ME Events & Design planned the perfect wedding for me and my husband. Despite me living in New York and Elsa in Orange County, we were able to coordinate our dream wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. ME Events was extremely responsive with emails, photos, and phone calls. They presented great ideas for our destination wedding -- and not just cookie cutter ideas, but things that really represented me and my husband as a couple. Would definitely recommend them to any future brides looking to plan a beautiful wedding with a personalized touch.

Well I must first off say, you need a wedding coordinator! We started off like many couples thinking we didn't need one, we were going to have some help at our venue on the wedding day and literally 2 weeks before the wedding that help disappeared. We went straight to ME Events and Design and they took everything over and relieved that huge amount of stress. We just handed over all of our information and everything was taken care of. There are too many little details to try and remember along with the big details, I would never try and do our big day alone. Thank you to ME Events and Design to step in and take everything over in such short notice, our wedding turned out amazing. Our Guests couldn't stop telling us how great the wedding looked, and how smooth and easy the day went. I cannot stop raving about my wedding planner, Elsa Feng, and her company ME Events and Design! I was referred by my friend who had been a bridesmaid in a wedding serviced by ME Events and Design. And I seriously owe my friend a BIG ONE for referring me to this company! Elsa and Melissa did a FLAWLESS job at my wedding. All of my guests commented on how beautifully decorated the venue was (The Hilton Hotel) and how smoothly the wedding progressed. As the bride, the wedding day goes by almost in a blur because you are at the center of attention and there are so many people to greet. It is really important to have confidence in your wedding planner. On my big day, I can honestly say that I was not worried about one thing. After working with Elsa during the planning process, I had TOTAL CONFIDENCE in her ability to coordinate the perfect wedding. And that's exactly what she did.I had the most wonderful time at my wedding. All of my guests were so happy and impressed. And I owe it all to Elsa and Melissa!

Funny you see 5.0 ratings from all the reviewers, but its seriously true. My wife and I have been so busy with work, that planning a wedding in only a few months seemed impossible. We felt so overwhelmed from the beginning, but then Elsa from ME Events and Design stepped in to help us. She created a list of choices and images from just asking us what colors we wanted. She also showed us variations of colors and samples of what our wedding could look like. The best thing about Elsa is her communication. She responds quickly and sets up meetings as needed to make sure everything was running smooth. The final week of preparation seemed so easy as she ensured our checklist items were done and ready to go.The day of service was awesome too. Elsa helped setup all decorations for the tables and the venue. Her and her partner really had everything under control while my wife and I were busy with the ceremony and the all the family socializing.If you want to enjoy your wedding day, I highly suggest using Elsa and her team. She took care of EVERYTHING so we can focus on the most important day of our lives with family and friends.

My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams on April 3rd, 2010. We were able to soak in special moments, laugh with our family and friends, and truly appreciate what that day represented. This was only possible through the meticulous and diligent coordination of ME Events & Design. Elsa and Melissa took care of all the details so that we could enjoy our day. They interfaced with our vendors seamlessly to create a perfect timeline, handled all the little touches from our candy buffet to our escort cards, and made the reception run so smoothly without feeling rushed or lulled. This is what a GOOD coordinator does. What makes ME Events & Design GREAT is that they truly went beyond the call of duty. The week leading up to our wedding, we faced a family tragedy that pulled my husband and I out of the country. Dealing with an emergency and not knowing whether we needed to postpone the wedding caused us a great deal of stress. Knowing that I could not easily access a phone, Elsa immediately offered to help contact all my vendors to coordinate possible alternate dates in case of postponement. Her researching and giving me options immediately put my mind at ease during a difficult time. She comforted me on the phone and assured me that we would work everything out no matter what happened…and she absolutely kept her promise. I am forever grateful. I would highly recommend ME Events & Design for any special occasion. They are not only hard working and professional, but are good-hearted people as well. You can tell that they love what they do and this passion greatly benefits their clients. Thank you Elsa and Melissa for making our wedding day so wonderful! We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives!

As you know, planning a wedding is not for the feint of heart especially if you have never done so before - hopefully you haven't. Regardless, there are so many little details that I would never even have imagined and of course you expect your big day to be immaculate. This is why a professional wedding planner is absolutely necessary. We shopped so many planners an decided to go with ME Events because of their great pricing and professionalism. Melissa, one of the coordinators, was extremely experienced and nice to work with. She helped us pick out everything such as chairs, flowers, centerpieces, table setting, DJ, color schemes etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on and on. There are just too many details and items to keep track of and worry about. After all the months planning and discussions with ME Events, I had an idea of the mosaic in my head of what to expect. When our wedding day actually arrived, I was completely blown away with how beautiful everything was, and the attention to detail that ME Events provided. They are absolutely the best and I recommend them to any couple who is looking to have the perfect wedding without all the stress! 5 stars by any standard!

We just want to thank ME Events and Design for making our wedding a dream come true.Eric and I were married last January at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach – a full-service wedding venue that’s truly modern, breathtaking and beautiful. Even though we were assigned a wedding coordinator from Seven Degrees, we knew we would need help aside from the venue staff in order to keep the day from going haywire.Melissa is one of my closest friends and served as both my bridesmaid and my event planner. Her warm personality, strong work ethic and commitment to her job shined throughout the entire wedding planning process. Eric and I had a vision on how we wanted to see the day play out but that meant we needed to be extremely detail oriented and work with someone who could understand what we needed. Thankfully we found that in Melissa.Melissa accompanied us to every design meeting and was always available to us by any form of communication at any time of the day. She also provided insightful suggestions and helped us stayed within our wedding budget. As a result of her hard work, our family and friends were able to enjoy our wedding without worrying about any of the details. In fact, many of our guests still compliment us on our wedding – even after a year has passed!It was such a pleasure working with ME Events and Design, and I would strongly recommend them to anybody planning a wedding. After all, being a bride is stressful enough; the details should be left to professionals!
