Elizabeth married us in April of 2012. She was amazing! She is the most professional, knowledgeable, and lovely person. We cannot imagine anyone else marrying us after the experience we had with her. She helped us create our ceremony, she joyfully married us, and she celebrated with us. She is flexible, calm, and take charge when needed but never overbearing. She handled all of the paperwork which was such a relief. Everything she did was thoughtful and tasteful. I could go on and on but other reviews have said many of the things that we feel about Elizabeth. We were so lucky to have found her and will remember her always as a profoundly important person to us who helped to make our wedding the memorable day it is.

My husband and I were going to elope and then realized we wanted a small, intimate wedding. From our first contact with Elizabeth I knew I was in good hands. She walked us through the process of planning our ceremony and writing our vows. She gave guidance when asked and let us create exactly the wedding we wanted. The day of, Elizabeth was calm, poised and efficient with the paperwork and details. All in all working with Elizabeth was a fantastic match for us.

Elizabeth is amazing! My husband found her in a roundabout way on the internet as we were scrambling to find someone to fulfill this role. My husband is agnostic and I suppose I am as well. Elizabeth handled us like a champ! She's funny, bright and in tune with what makes a marriage work. We only met with her once and then corresponded over email and phone for the 6 weeks leading up to the big day. Yes, we were last minute! Despite this, our ceremony was completely "us" filled with joy, creative rituals and a great reading suggested by Elizabeth. I recommend her highly!

If you're looking for a solemn, traditional ceremony steeped in conservative religious doctrine, Rev. Elizabeth Oakes probably isn't your best bet. Elizabeth, as she asked us to refer to her, is charming, funny, and wonderful. If you want a minister who will work quickly and with great dedication to manifest your unique ceremony dreams, she is a great choice. "You liked her?" I asked my somewhat traditional father after our ceremony. "Oh, who could not?" he exclaimed. Reverend Elizabeth helped us develop vows that truly expressed our individuality (we were later asked by family members for a copy of our vows), and, on the day of, went above and beyond the call of duty by helping calm my nerves, helping me keep track of my belongings, and creating a sense of ease all around. Plus, she gave US a personal and touching gift after our ceremony. How special is that?

Our wedding was put together in about 2 1/2 weeks, so you can imagine it was a very stressful time. Our officiant Rev. Elizabeth Oakes not only made our wedding day amazing, she was there for us throughout the preparation to make sure we were focused on what really matters, each other. She is very professional, patient and affordable. She accomodated all of our needs and took care of everything for us in terms of the paperwork. I highly recommend her services for any type of wedding.
