It has been a fun ride with Mr. Henry Chen!! Our initial interview with Henry was at the end of January and from that first meeting we knew he was our man - I think we pretty much signed our contract and locked him up the next day.Planning a wedding can be a busy and tiring process, so it is extremely important to lock down your major items - venue, food, photographer, make up, dj etc.With Henry as our photographer he was professional, attentive, and EXTREMELY ORGANIZED!! My wife (then fiance) and I never had to worry about Henry. If we ever had a question - we would simply e-mail or give him a ring. Henry would pretty much always reply to us immediately or within the hour - pretty amazing for someone as busy as him.We had our engagement session and our wedding photographed by Henry in his photo-journalistic style. Who needs a wedding videographer when you have Henry Chen at the helm. My wife and I were very happy with our photos and can't wait to get started in making our wedding album.I would not hesitate to recommend Henry to any of my family or friends who are in search of a photographer for family pics, weddings, engagements, parties etc. If you are looking for a great photographer then give Henry a call - visit his office and go through a meeting with him and you will understand why he's deserving of 5 stars!!

What to say about Henry Chen.. HE is Excellent and his work speaks for itself. He is such a genuinely nice guy. We had such a great time during our engagement session and our photos came out exactly as we imagined it would be.. artistic and definitely capturing a genuine moment between us. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and that was what was also important to us that we'd be able to feel relaxed and know that the photos weren't going to look all posed. On our wedding day he even went above and beyond, capturing every little detail and moment you'd probably miss yourself. He is one investment worth spending and you will not regret it. My husband (now) and I met Henry through a friend of ours. From our first e-mail exchange to our engagement session to our wedding day, everything was impeccable! We were so impressed with his work from all the way from VA that we asked him to be our photographer for our big day! Henry came all the way from CA to VA to shoot our engagement photo as well as for our wedding! Though we've only met via email and telephone, we had an immediate chemistry. He made us feel comfortable and made us feel at home. His eyes for photography is incredible and all our family and friends (and us of course =) are in love with the photos!Another thing I should mention is that Henry shot all the photos by himself! Short & sweet version.. Henry is AMAZING!!As you all already know, Henry is an extremely talented photographer and pretty much a rockstar all around! It was such an honor to have him capture our wedding day on film and I cannot say enough about the quality and value of his work. His quick response time and attention to little details have always been so impressive considering the amount of work he does. In addition to all of this, his friendly demeanor and easy going personality really made taking all the photos a fun part of the day. The best part is that you can rest assured that Henry always does a fantastic job of capturing some really touching moments that you probably would not have ever known about. I am actually a wedding planner, so believe me when I say that Henry is definitely top notch. He was the first vendor that I booked and I definitely knew from day one that he would be our photographer. I have also been lucky enough to have worked with him on a few weddings for past clients as well, so I can say with confidence that his work ethic and quality are 100% consistent. From the engagement session to the wedding day, working with Henry has been nothing less than seamless. He is definitely AMAZING with his turn-around time as well and all I can say is that I am in pure wonderment as to how he gets all his work done when he is constantly shooting weddings and traveling! It has been about a week since our wedding and I have received endless wonderful compliments on the wedding day with each guest mentioning how Henry & his team were very professional and that they were absolutely EVERYWHERE capturing all sorts of fun candid moments! I know that I will cherish the photos that Henry took for the rest of my life and don’t think I will ever be able to express my gratitude for his ability to capture the emotions I felt that day.Kuddos to Henry and his amazing team! Henry Chen is the best photographer I've seen in recent years. His photographs are works of art! I'm so happy that we hired Henry because our engagement and wedding photographs are so beautiful. I cry when I look at the photographs because it reminds me of how beautiful we looked and more importantly how beautiful we felt on our wedding day. Aside from getting fantastic photographs from Henry, he was so easy and fun to work with because you rarely knew that he was there..... Henry is a bride's dream come true. Vendors really don't get any better than him! My husband (then fiancé) and I were worried about selecting a photographer that would take cheesy photos or put us in poses that just weren't natural. I think what sets Henry apart from other photographers is that he captures real emotions and genuine moments. What I really love most about Henry is his incredible work ethic. Unlike most photographers, Henry's photos are available in DAYS, not months. He responds to emails and phone calls immediately (at worst 24 hours). Even after the wedding, Henry was just as responsive as the day we first met. Editing our photo album was so simple & easy. Henry was so quick to incorporate our changes and was so patient when we made last minute revisions. Most importantly, Henry genuinely cares about his clients and values the opportunity to work with every couple. My husband and I are so grateful to have found Henry. He is worth every penny and so so much more.

I've been putting off doing Henry's review because I don't even know where to start. I cannot emphasize enough what an unimaginably, unspeakably, indescribably outstanding wedding photographer Henry is. He was the BEST money we spent on our wedding. Here are the reasons: - His style is the perfect mix of artistic and classic. The pictures are technically excellent (I'm not a photographer, but I've been told), capture tons of emotion, and are beautifully composed. I don't need to say anything else about this. Just go ahead and look at his blog. - He is extremely professional, responsible, and organized. I slept well at night knowing that he would show up on time, get all the important shots, and get me my photos back in great quality and in a reasonable amount of time. And he did. On top of that, he got some previews on his blog in superhuman speed. He was also very responsive throughout all my exchanges with him. Every question I asked him by e-mail was answered within a day.- He cares a lot about his job. He's not just after your money or a good review. He cares about getting you good photographs, because he is an artist who takes pride in his work. - He's very kind and personable. So many people at our wedding remarked how great he was to talk to. I initially didn't think this was that important, but now I realize that on the day of your wedding, it's REALLY important to be surrounded by nice people - especially your photographer, who is with you all day! Basically, anything you could possibly care about when looking for your wedding photographer, you can find in Henry Chen. Thank you so, so much, Henry!!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Henry for both our engagement and wedding photos (Wedding was August 2011). Henry was amazing! He is the consummate professional, taking the time to get to know us, our style and vibe as a couple and what we were looking for in our photographs. His work speaks for itself but I was still amazed at how creative and artistic his shots turned out. We were beyond pleased with both sessions and he definitely exceeded any expectations we had for our wedding. Not only is Henry a talented photographer but he is also a genuinely kind and generous individual. We felt comfortable with him immediately, almost as if we had been friends for years. I think that personal aspect was also what makes his photo shoots seem so effortless. We recommend Henry 100% and would give him 10 stars if we could!

Henry recently photographed our entire wedding day this past July 9th and we have nothing but high praises for him. We found Henry on one of the wedding websites shortly after our engagement and quickly fell in love with his work. It was well over a year before our big day, but we quickly booked him because we knew that he was our man and didn't want to settle on anyone else.Henry is incredibly talented and easy to work with. He's also very friendly and flexible. Henry has so many great visions, I sometimes can't believe it's actually us in the pictures. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. One of my favorite memories of our wedding day was the one-on-one photo session with him at the OC Performing Arts Center. If you get a chance to document any memorable event in your life with a professional photographer, make a good investment and don't cheat yourselves out of a quality.

Henry is more than a photographer; he is an amazingly talented artist. Words can't describe how grateful we are to have been able to have him be the photographer that captured our day. Henry managed to capture all of the emotion of our wedding and the pictures literally move me to tears, every time I see them.Neither of us are typically comfortable in front of a camera, but Henry makes it so easy. There is no awkwardness involved and Henry projects confidence that is contagious. Henry is also an amazing person, his profession totally aside. We got to spend three days with him in Mexico and all of our friends and families now consider him part of the family. Henry was awesome! He always replied to our emails or calls within hours even late at night. We love the way Henry takes wedding pictures. He has a unique way of taking pictures, he can always find that nice angle or use nearby items or resources that I don't think other photographers would think of to shoot photos. He's very flexible and really listened to what we wanted in photos. Henry doesn't just take pictures, he creates art. We absolutely love the pictures he took, they're like art! =) Henry is also the nicest person and absolutely a pleasure to work with. On our wedding day, he arrived half an hour earlier and within an hour, we already had lots of beautiful pictures taken by him, he's absolutely amazing!

I'm the sister of the groom.I initially met Henry when he photographed my friend's wedding in 2009. Everyone I showed those photos to were amazed! Just weeks before my brother's wedding in India, I was visiting my friend in LA and ran into Henry again. Even though it was last minute I asked if he would come to India to shoot the wedding. We were so excited when Henry agreed to come! He went out of his way to get his VISA on time and sacrificed Christmas and New Year's with this family and friends at home.Henry truly made the wedding special for the bride, groom and the guests. Everyone loved his magnetic personality. He really has a great way with people. He is very considerate and unintrusive. We had guests asking him to shoot events for them just based on his personality, they hadn't even seen his work yet. His work is, of course, amazing. He's a true photo journalist, very artistic. We've had so many guests comment that these are the best wedding photos they have ever seen! I highly recommend Henry for any event. He went above and beyond what was expected of him. Henry is awesome! We got married in October last year, but we were very disappointed of our wedding pictures that were done by the Hotel photographer.So... we did another Bridal shoot this last weekend with Henry and OMG... we LOVE our pictures!!!!He was professional but yet very easy-going. It was like we were working with an old friend on this photo shoot. Henry took us to THREE different locations for our shoot and was so patient with us.That camera kept clicking, and I don't even want to know how many pictures he took... but less than 2 days later... he was able to show us a sneak peek of our pics. I remember some stories from my friends -- it took them FOREVER to see their wedding pictures!Thank you so much Henry! We truly had a blast with you for those couple hours and those pictures are a truly beautiful!

Photography is a hobby of mine so when it came down to wedding planning - we made finding a good Photographer a priority. After meeting with Henry, the decision was clear that he would be our Wedding Photographer. Henry's professionalism and responsiveness is TOP-NOTCH! Which to be honest, amazes me because this guy is BUSY! He has so many booked events - many back to back that I was always surprised on how quickly I'd receive a reply back. He is organized and takes the time to know his Bride & Groom and will remember details too. He's pretty talented. I was a pretty detailed and organized Bride/planner so, it was very important to me for vendors to respond quickly and accurately. When you are planning a wedding with a full-time job and business travel involved it is IMPORTANT that you get responses quickly so you can move on. Multi-tasking is critical for us! With Henry's professionalism, you can ensure that you are in good hands. He will provide his advice from a lot of experience and help you plan the timeline for your big day.My biggest advice to Brides & Grooms out there is to find Vendors that are experienced and professional. You will see after researching that it is pretty competitive in the wedding industry and there are A LOT of vendors to choose from. When it comes down to it, you will be SO thankful when you have chosen vendors of experience and professionalism. It really relieves a lot of stress and you know that they will go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with no regrets.Lastly, Henry is patient and never pushy....personally, I don't like meeting vendors that feel like they are all about "business" and making money. Some will schmooze you and try to do the talk and dance and leave you feeling like you might have gotten jipped. Henry is so sincere. I know it's hard to believe that a vendor that is SO "professional" can also be sincere (haha) but, that's what Henry is. I had a moment and broke-down while getting ready on our wedding day and Henry knew exactly what to say and what to do to get my mind off of the "weepy/stressful moment" and back into smiles in a matter of seconds.I can't recommend Henry enough. These 5.0's don't seem high enough but, that's all it will allow me to put.

Henry is AWESOME. At first, I thought he would be out of my price range so I didn’t contact him but my fiancé really love his work so I decided to email him and he responded to me right away. After meeting with Henry, I feel extremely lucky to have met him. Unfortunately, he is unavailable on our wedding day. But like I said, we really like his work so we decided to use his service for our e-session. Henry is very nice, professional, artistic, organized and very easy to work with. Our photos came out absolutely amazing!!! He posted some of our photos on his blog and also tagged me on my Facebook. Everyone keeps asking me about our photos and I got so many compliments on them. During both our engagement sessions and wedding, he was very professional and captured the photos that we wanted.
