Cake was yummy! They accommodated our request to add Argentine dulce de leche to the chocolate cake, worked with us on pricing and delivered on time. Customer service was excellent, although, it was hard to get a hold of them at times.

AMAZING!!!! Our sweet potato cake with brown sugar frosting was PERFECT for our gorgeous fall 2010 wedding. It was a little hard to be in contact with them because they are in Culver City, but it was worth the drive to go out there! They really impressed our guests with a stunning 6 tiered cake! We had about 300 guests and EVERYONE is still talking about our awesome cake!!!

DELICIOUS cake and wonderful flavors. I basically sampled all the cake shops in Los Angeles, and you will get the most for your money here.

Alexis was amazing when we first met with her in our search for the perfect wedding cake. We went in not really knowing what we wanted and left with a sketch and idea of our perfect wedding cake. The tasting was amazing! They brought out trays of varities of cake flavors, fillings, and icings. They were all delicious (and I hate cake!!). I was very impressed that as we sat and looked through books and books of photos, Alexis was taking all of our comments into concideration and sketched out what turned out to be our ideal cake. The day of the wedding, the cake was presented beautifully. It looked so much more amazing in person than I had anticipated. I was very impressed. It had a beautiful cascade of fresh flowers on the front that perfectly mirrored all of our bouquets and centerpieces for the wedding. As for taste...it was fantastic! We ordered two different types (because they were all so delicious and we could not narrow it down to only one). The first type was lemon cake with fresh lemon curd and cream cheese. The second was dark chocolate cake with homemade whipped cream and a trio of fresh berries (raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries). Everything was great! I would surely use them again for any cake needed for a special occasion!

Our decision to hire Cake Divas came easily to us once we tasted their cakes. They start by having you come in for an hour and they give you choices of cake flavors and little cups of frosting flavors. Alexis guided us through the process, suggesting popular combinations, while at the same time creating a beautiful drawing of the ideas in our head. When she showed us the drawing, our jaws dropped. She is an amazing artist. Yes, we will definitely be saving her drawing for our scrapbook. But, the most important part is that the cake looked just like her drawing. She even coordinated with our florist to put several strands of pearls around the bottom of each of the four tiers of cake, as we asked. We chose the bavarian cream and lemon curd for two of the layers (with white cake) and coconut cream (with chocolate cake) for the other two layers. It was moist, yummy and most importantly, delivered professionally and on time to our reception venue. I recommend checking them out and asking for Alexis. Sometimes, she's hard to reach, but you'll hear back within a couple of days. It's worth the wait. We're looking forward to having them recreate our top tier on our first year anniversary...when we can actually have the time to sit down and enjoy a slice quietly.

The cake from Cake Divas was gorgeous. It was exactly what I wanted. When I met with the consultant to choose a cake, she quickly drew a beautiful sketch of what I requested, which I have put in my scrap book. However, the cake itself (red velvet) was dry and not very tasty.

We picked Cake Divas mostly because of their reputation but also because of the taste of the cake. We met with them one time and in that one session they not only sketched our wedding cake but they also helped me come up with ideas for the grooms cake. I asked them to do a Bulldog that was wearing a Lakers Jersey(my husbands favorite NBA team) and eating a Steelers bone(my husbands favorite NFL team). That is exactly what they created and it came out wonderfully. I was honestly worried about the wedding cake design from the sketch that they gave me. I wanted them to duplicate the lace on my wedding gown on the cake. When I saw the cake for the first time it was amazing. They did such a wonderful job with the whole event. Next time I need a custom design cake I will definitely go back to them. I also have already recommended them to friends of ours that are getting married. I had an incredibly great experience with Cake Divas! They were extremely professional, very flexible (read below,) and I was delivered my PERFECT cake - all thanks to Cake Divas. Here's a list of why I rate them so highly: 1. Taste - super YUMMY 2. They draw a colored picture of your vision on the spot (I'll be adding mine to the album) 3. Experience (I didn't want to worry about the cake or actually anything the day of my wedding...know what I mean?) 4. Flexibilty. Embarrassing to admit, but I changed the idea of my cake around 3-4 weeks before the wedding. Yes. I was that bride. Not only were they o.k. with the change, they actually said, "We want to give you your DREAM wedding cake. Of course we'll do it." 5. They DID give me my dream wedding cake. 6. Alexis was my contact. Sweet, smart, flexible, and the author of the above quote. See Alexis. 6. Alexis noticed that in the picture of my wedding cake, there was a vintage looking cake stand. Alexis tracked it down for me, and there it was, on the day of my wedding. It was great having one less thing to worry about. 6. They baked a mini top of the cake to give to my Mom, per my request. 7. You get a free mini duplicate of your cake on your one year anniversary if you supply them with a photo of your cake. Deal! 8. Loved, loved, loved the cake! It was extremely beautiful... they designed it with my dress in mind and I almost cried too when I saw our logo on it! Amazing work!

We had a pretty non-traditional cake. It tasted good and it was interesting so people took a lot of shots of it. My husband did not particularly care for it - he said he could have painted it himself which might be true. The craftmanship on it was much less then what I expected for something that was not cheap (at least not for us) given that they are famous with the Food Network segment and all that. They were not always easy to get a hold of, and they gave me a bit of BS a few times trying to overcharge us, but in the end we came to an agreement, so there is some flexibility. Be firm, keep an eye on your timeline and do the math. The tasting session was not glamorous but we were the only people there so we had their full attention, which was nice. Unfortunately the samples were a bit frozen so it took a while to get a sense of what we were tasting. If you are looking for an experience for you and your girls or your mother, this might not be as fancy as you imagine, but you will get a full sense of the flavors and will get a rather hefty box of samples to take home to your fiance or family. I do recommend them, but DO KEEP A CLOSE eye on them and be VERY specific with what you want. Give them pictures, etc. ________ One year update: I just picked up my aniversary cake from Leigh and Joan, the Cake Divas. The cake looks beautiful and it smells amazing. Although I haven't had a chance to taste it yet, I am very much looking forward to. The size of the cake is also VERY generous. We had a good conversation about the misunderstanding regarding the esthetics of the wedding cake and I think they did a fantastic job to both explain what happened and to understand my point of view. Lovely ladies and hardworking women! I look forward to put this cake on our aniversary table!

Our cake was perfect. It was a vanilla three deck cake with a cherry filling. Too good to describe. Everything went well and they charged us a good amount. It was very beautiful too. We strongly recommend you get your next cake from Cake Divas.

The cake looked beautiful. They are fabulous designers. I am told it tasted delicious, too -- I was too busy to taste it. However, the great thing about Cake Divas is that they replicate the top of your cake and give it to you for your first anniversary.

The Cake Divas love their work and want to make sure that you have the perfect wedding cake. They also include a fresh top tier for your 1 year anniversary so you don't have to freeze your cake if you don't want to. And -- their German chocolate filling is the BEST I have ever had.

We had Cake Divas do a cupcake cake for our wedding. I approached Cake Divas in about July 2008, and they were able to do the cake for our September 2008 wedding. We decided to have a tower of false (foam) tiers with cupcakes resting on top of them, and a small cake for us to cut. (We saw the idea in their portfolio.) We met with a designer and tasted a bunch of cake and opted to do four flavors of cupcakes. The aesthetic of the design was taken from our wedding invitations which featured a creeping vine border and a flourished monogram. The translation from invitation to cake wasn't quite what I expected, but it was still pretty. And - most importantly - the cupcakes tasted good! One interesting thing to note is that they promise to re-bake a small cake for your 1st anniversary if you provide them with a photograph of their final design from your event. (We'll have to see if this works out for us!) The price was average, which seemed high to me, but by the time I was getting around to hiring a baker, money had more or less lost meaning.

Our cake was amazing! We had 4 tiers, square and a bit off center. We had chocolate, red velvet, and top layer was carrot. They decorated with dots and hydrangeas. I was very happy with it and got loads of compliments.

The cake designer from Cake Divas really captured the idea what we wanted for our wedding. The choices of cakes are great, you can also have different cakes for different layers. I highly recommend people to get professionally designed cake from them. Just remember, appointment required, it is not a regular bakery that you can just walk in.

LOVE THEM!! How many times have you ever gone to a wedding and thought or heard people say, that was a delicious cake? Most wedding cakes are pretty to look at, but leave much to be desired in the taste department. These women really impressed us. We are red-velvet cake snobs and knew we had to have one for our wedding. We shopped around for this wedding cake to the point of almost giving up when our wedding consultant recommended the Cake Divas. They laughed at us when we told them what we were going through, then they brought out several other options as well as the red-velvet to try...We were sold. We are still getting compliments on our wedding cake.

They are amazing artists! I had a vision in my mind and only 1 "sort of" sample photo with me when I went for our first meeting. I was a little aprehensive about the front door area of their location, but I walked in and had their undivided attention. I looked through their books, and within minutes of speaking with them and looking at the photos (commenting on what I liked and did not like)...there was a drawing put in front of me that was as if she photographed what was inside my mind! I was speechless. The cake turned out perfectly!! Just as the picture, a huge 5 tier masterpiece. It also tasted amazing! On our anniversary, they already had the information for my wedding, I just gave them my name and location to have them look it up. We revieved a very generous cake topper for free. Yum Yum!!
